The Spinal Injuries Association was founded in 1974, since when it has grown into a national organisation offering expertise on living with spinal cord injury through a wide range of services for people paralysed through spinal cord injury. SIA is controlled and run by spinal cord injured people themselves to assist those with similar disabilities get back to an ordinary everyday life following injury.
