The Association is the governing body of wheelchair basketball in Great Britain. The aim of the Association is to promote and encourage the game, particularly through its various leagues and competitions. Matches are played between October and April each year. Playing membership is open to those who have a severe permanent physical disability of one or both lower extremities which excludes their participation in the regular game of basketball. The Association encourages all levels of the sport organising coaching and tournaments.
